Meet the Owner/Operator

I started my entomology journey a decade ago in the Florida Keys as a Mosquito Inspector for the Florida Keys Mosquito Control District. I quickly fell in love with the world of entomology and soon after became a Research Biologist for the same district. Ten years later I have published almost a dozen scientific articles in peer reviewed journals, spoken at international conferences about arbovirus disease outbreaks, assisted with the first ever Genetically Modified Mosquito release trials in the US, been interviewed by PBS Newshour about dengue fever in the Florida Keys, developed protocols to reduce mosquito populations, tested chemical resistance on thousands of insects, and spent extra time educating the public and children at festivals and schools on how to stay healthy and mosquito free.

Although my favorite type of insect is a mosquito. That is only a small portion of the expertise I bring to the table. As an Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE), I am an expert in structural pests and their control. Additionally, I am one of only ~50 people in the United States to hold a certificate in Public Health Entomology (PHE) from the Entomological Society of America, which illustrates my ability to help keep you healthy from disease carrying pests.

As an Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) and Public Health in Entomology (PHE) cert. holder, I have pledged an oath to honesty, integrity, and open communication to customers. These qualifications are so well regarded that some highly sensitive businesses like daycares and nursing homes across the United States require these qualifications in order to perform pest control duties at their facilities.
